In Room 2, we are so proud of Lucas, as he had never been in a pool before today. He did not tell me this until he was in the pool and he said " I thought I would just get in and have a go". Mr Smith worked with Lucas for 10 minutes and you need to watch below for the amazing results. Well done Lucas....YOU ROCK.

Classified Hangout
Room 2 had a Google Hangout with a country school somewhere in New Zealand. Both classes could only ask questions that had a Yes or No answer. The race was on to see who could find where the other class was first. We did win but the real learning was in the 20 mins conversation at the end, we connected with a class at Paihia School in the far north, Well done Room 2.
Problem Solving /Leadership Task
Room 2 in groups had the problem of getting Tennis and Table Tennis balls from a desk one and a half meters away from the sofa. They had to make a device in 40 mins to grab the balls in a small time frame of 2 mins. Our WALT for the task was" knowing when to be a leader and when to be a team member. Macy and Isabelle- Dog Food Advertisment
Pet Food Advertisement
Our Learning: We were given a choice of genre and we decided advertisement because we wanted to learn about how people make ads. We chose to work together, because two brains are better than one!
About the advertisement: We created this advertisement because we feel that sometimes dogs get very hungry even though they might have just eaten. So we decided that it is important dogs have a full tummy. We thought that the brand name could be Princes and Princesses because we both have dogs and to us they are truly Princes and Princesses!

Our Treaty Brainstorm
After all the challenges and fun we had, in the afternoon we started on the brainstorm to help us to develop our class treaty, we did really well.
Team Building Day
We had a wonderful day today going through our team building challenges. We were doing this to not just work as a team but to think about how our class treaty could look like and to get ideas for the treaty. We did a fantastic job and Mr Mac was very proud of us all. Enjoy the videos!!

Tent Practise For Camp
Today the Year 6 students practiced putting up and most importantly packing back down the camp tents. They were wonderful.....they may just survive camp after all.
